This is a direct hire role, located in Irving.
The candidate will be part of an operations team focused on providing support of a core component for the larger operations infrastructure [where operations include the foundation for which client products, service offerings, and solutions can be provided, as well as the policies and procedures required]. The candidate will support the promotion of standards, including compliance to and adherence of industry standards such as ITIL, Sarbanes Oxley (SOX), and SAS70 in QA and Production environments. The candidate will be a subject matter expert in one or more areas, and will assist in leading the team through day-to-day support and maintenance.
– Install, configure, and maintain: o Epsilon developed applications and software o Message Systems MTA software o TIBCO: Administrator, BusinessWorks, Enterprise Message System, Hawk, Runtime Agent, Spotfire Server, Spotfire Web Player o Work closely with build master, release manager, product, systems architects, development, and QA to ensure all configurations in operations are meeting the requirements of 3rd party vendors as well as in-house product and development teams o Work closely with EDM to maintain high deliverability such as building appropriate reputation and avoid filtering pitfalls o Troubleshoot SMTP, DNS, and HTTP related issues in both Production and QA environments o Co-ordinate projects related to O/S and 3rd party software changes among technical teams (e.g., new O/S releases, new 3rd party software releases)
Qualifications: – Working knowledge of UNIX Operating Systems – Working knowledge of internet mail and SMTP protocols and standards – Knowledge with HTML, ASP, and CGI coding – Experience with JVM tuning and troubleshooting – Basic understanding of IETF RFC’s related to internet mail and SMTP compliance – Experience with commercial MTA offerings – Tibco experience is a huge plus – Basic knowledge of ISP relations – Basic knowledge of encrypted keys: Public/private keys, key signing – Basic knowledge of internet concepts: Domains, DNS, domain keys, DKIM – Basic knowledge of networking technology: TCP/IP protocols, cluster/virtual IP address space, NAT port-mapping, traffic shaping, QoSClick here to enter text.
